September 5 2010 Call for Volunteers for Roadrunner Food Bank of NM - http://www.rrfb.orgAlbuquerque, NM – Roadrunner Food Bank has implemented a new online scheduling system for volunteers. The new system allows community members to schedule their own volunteer appointments without having to call us to pinpoint a volunteer time that works for both parties.
The new registration process provides 24/7 access to book a volunteer time slot via the Food Bank website. Community members simply need to visit www.rrfb.org and click on the “Volunteer” button to create a customer profile along with a username and passphrase.
Melody Wattenbarger, president and CEO of Roadrunner Food Bank said, “This new software is much more convenient for those wishing to volunteer at the Food Bank. It puts our schedule right into the hands of the users. Plus, it allows the user to change or modify appointments right from their home computer.”
The benefit of the new online scheduling system eliminates time on the phone and phone tag between parties. It also provides an option to send the volunteer e-notifications and e-reminders. The scheduling system allows for up to 75 volunteers every two hours.
Some volunteers will still need to contact to set up their visit including groups with more than 30 people, special needs volunteers, and volunteers who require a signature for service hour verification. Volunteers with those criteria should continue to contact Christina Berlin at or 505.349.8825.
Roadrunner Food Bank is New Mexico's largest non-profit organization dedicated to ending hunger in New Mexico. In 2009, Roadrunner Food Bank distributed more than 20 million pounds of food through its own programs, a statewide network of nearly 600 partner agencies, and five regional food banks. In New Mexico, Roadrunner Food Bank is the only member of Feeding America. Roadrunner Food Bank and our affiliated agencies serve nearly 40,000 children and adults every single week. New Mexico continues to be ranked as one of the hungriest states in the nation.

Starring, Kevin Sorbo, Kristy Swanson, Debby Ryan, and John Ratzenberger.
What if…, tells the story of Ben Walker (Kevin Sorbo), who fifteen years ago left his college sweetheart Wendy (Kristy Swanson), and his calling to be a preacher, in order to pursue a business opportunity. Now with a high-paying executive gig, a trophy fiancé, and a new Mercedes, he hasn’t considered a family nor felt the need to set foot in a church in fifteen years.
But God has other plans. While on a thrill ride outside the city, his new car mysteriously breaks down, and he’s visited by a tow truck driver named Mike (John Ratzenberger) who claims to be an angel sent to show Ben what his life would look like had he followed his true calling. Suddenly Ben wakes up in the middle of domestic chaos as his wife Wendy and daughters (including Disney Channel’s Debby Ryan) are getting ready for church, where Ben is the new pastor.
Before he can get back to his old life, Ben must first embrace this reality and discover the value of faith and family, and perhaps restore his love for those who were heartbroken fifteen years ago: Wendy and God. In the tradition of It’s a Wonderful Life and The Family Man, What if… is a story of finding your true purpose in life. SBN’s Anniversary Banquet is our most important fundraiser of the year. For over 25 years Son Broadcasting continues to make a difference in the lives of people throughout New Mexico, by shining the light of the gospel through Christian television.
Join us on October 15th, to see how SBN is “Making a Difference One Life at a Time”. Consider being a banquet sponsor! You can help Son Broadcasting fulfill God’s purpose at this most critical hour and make a tremendous impact throughout New Mexico.
Because of the prophetic hour and events that are taking place, we have invited Bill Cloud to be our guest speaker. He is recognized as one of the leading authorities on end-time events. National recording artist and Dove award winner Cheri Keaggy will also be sharing how God is “Making a Difference” in her life.
